Chief Gault graduated from Coe College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and obtained his Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from St. He taught criminal justice classes at Black Hawk College from 2007 - 2017. Chief Gault was awarded Crime Fighter of the Year in 2003 and Exchange Club Officer of the Year in 2007. Chief Gault has been a police officer for 24 years and was previously the Assistant Chief in East Moline prior to his appointment in Moline.Ĭhief Gault served in numerous positions while at the East Moline Police Department, including Patrol Officer, Detective, Special Federal Officer assigned to the FBI-Quad Cities Federal Gang Task Force, Detective Sergeant, Lieutenant, Detective Commander and Captain. Darren Gault was sworn in as the Chief of Police for the City of Moline on July 31, 2019.
